Delivery + Installation

Does Berkowitz Furniture deliver to my area?

Yes, our trucks will deliver right across metro Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney and Adelaide. If your home is further away, we can arrange an external carrier depending on your location.

Will Berkowitz furniture notify me prior to my delivery?

Of course! We will inform you once the furniture is received into our warehouse and we will then endeavour to find a suitable day for delivery to your home.

Can I pick up my order?

Orders can be picked up from the Berkowitz Head Office / Warehouse at 79 Rushdale street Knoxfield. In some instances, pickups can also be arranged at the store in which the goods were purchased.

How long will I have to wait for my furniture?

At Berkowitz Furniture, we do our best to keep as much stock on hand as possible. However, manufacturing times and delivery dates vary depending on the furniture supplier. Please contact one of our friendly sales consultants for more information about estimated delivery timelines.

Please note the delivery date listed on your invoice is only an estimate. We cannot guarantee furniture will be delivered in a specific week.

How much is delivery?

Costs can vary depending on the number of items and the home location. We recommend you contact your closest Berkowitz Furniture showroom if you would like to find out the exact cost.

Will the delivery professionals assemble my furniture?

At Berkowitz Furniture, we aim to offer a superior delivery service that will involve a full assembly of the product placed in the desired position of your home. We also remove any packaging that comes with the furniture. However, this service is only available with metro deliveries.

What happens if I am not home when the furniture is delivered?

In this unfortunate instance, we will have to arrange another delivery date. You may incur a second delivery charge as our carriers are paid for each delivery.


Are Berkowitz Furniture products Australian made?

Berkowitz Furniture is a proud supporter and retailer of quality Australian made furniture. Every Berkowitz Furniture showroom has a large range of furniture from a wide variety of Australian manufacturers.

Do Berkowitz Furniture make custom orders and/or can they change the configuration of the furniture?

As a family business that has been around for well over 100 years, we understand that you may want your own custom variations to fit personal needs, room dimensions etc. As such, on a wide range of products, we let you get the exact configuration you want. Many of our stocked items also offer a variety of configurations to choose from “off the floor”.

What fabric and leathers do Berkowitz Furniture offer?

At Berkowitz Furniture, we have a vast range of specialised fabrics to choose from, including fabrics from Warwick, Zepel, Charles Parsons, Profile and other leading Australian fabric houses. Our leather collection is also extensive with an excellent array of colour options.

Are the products inspected before dispatch?

All products that enter the warehouse are carefully assessed and then repackaged before the product is delivered.

How do I care for fabric furniture?

Berkowitz Furniture recommends applying a fabric protection product to help remove any future liquid and food stains. This is done prior to your furniture being delivered to you. Three other key tips are to;

  1. Keep the lounge out of sunlight
  2. Swap cushions regularly
  3. Remove stains immediately.

How do I make payments for my furniture order?

You can pay for your furniture at any Berkowitz Furniture showroom, through direct debit payments, or with a credit card over the phone.

Is a deposit required at the time of ordering?

A minimum deposit of 30% is required.

Can I pay for my order on delivery?

Unfortunately, our drivers will not accept payment on delivery. Prior to delivery, all orders will need to be paid in full before your goods are delivered.

What payments do Berkowitz Furniture accept?

Cash, eftpos, Amex (extra 1.6%), direct debit (bank transfer) and Zip Pay.



At Berkowitz, we pride ourselves on excelling in customer service. If there appears to be a product fault within the warranty period, we will be more than happy to assist.

Once we are aware of the issue, one of our experienced and professional Berkowitz Furniture representatives will come to inspect and assess the issue. In the event where a failure has occurred, we will provide the option for the goods to be repaired or replaced.

To place a warranty claim, please call our Head Office or the showroom in which the goods were purchased.
